Goalkeeper Glove Care: Make Your Grip Last All Season

Latex palms are what make keeper gloves grip, and they're also what wear out first. A few simple habits after every session can double the life of your gloves.
Goalkeeper gloves get their grip from soft latex foam, and that latex hates dirt, heat and being left in a wet bag.
Before use: dampen the palms with a little water. Latex grips best when it's slightly moist, never bone dry.
After use: rinse the gloves in lukewarm water, gently rub the palms together to lift out dirt, then squeeze (don't wring) the water out.
Drying: let them air-dry at room temperature with the palms apart. Never put them on a radiator or in a tumble dryer; heat makes latex crack.
Storage: keep them in a glove bag, palms facing each other with a small gap. Treat match gloves and training gloves as two different pairs, and your best pair will stay sharp for match day.
